Elika Kaplan is a comedian and writer living in Brooklyn, NY.
As a performer, Elika can be found doing sketches, stand-up, and improv all across town! Online, his comedy videos have received millions of likes across social media.
He is one half of the sketch comedy duo, Honey Drop It. They are currently touring their new show, Honey Drop the Hour with upcoming dates at Upright Citizens Brigade and The Cobra Club. You can also find them performing their monthly variety show that they direct and produce. @Honey.Drop.It
As a screenwriter, Elika has written several short films and pilots (available to read here).In 2021, he won “Best Undergraduate Screenplay” at the Ivy Film Festival, the world’s largest student film competition. In 2022, his screenplay, “Baha Blast” was selected by Brown Motion Pictures to be adapted into a short film.
Elika loves to write half-hour comedies and is passionate about writing stories that reflect his experience as a queer, hearing-disabled person. His script “Baha Blast”, a (semi-autobiographic) story about a Brooklynite finding a lost hearing aid after a night of drinking, is currently in production and will premiere in 2025. His comedy writing has been featured in Reductress, Slackjaw, and Points in Case.
